Little Sweet Shop of Horrors is a Fifth Edition adventure designed and optimized for four players of 1st level. This adventure works well set in a large city or small township.
A sentient chocolate creature with a Napoleon complex robs a local chocolate shop with an army of chocolate minions.
King Chocobon is a strange and foul-hearted creature who was created by an eccentric mage wishing to create living chocolate treats for his booming sweets shop. After a few attempts to get the enchantment right the mage succeeded and birthed a new creature, a living chocolate which he called Chocobon. When inspecting Chocobon the mage saw his creation was more intelligent than the mage wanted. So naturally, the mage went to destroy the creature and try again. But Chocobon knew what was happening and pleaded to live, so the mage elected to give it a home in its own demi-plane rather than kill it. That plane is where Chocobon stayed. Ages passed, and over countless years, Chocobon grew in size and arcane ability discovering he had a small influence on the plane he inhabited, which he planned to use to make a great army. This is because Chocobon’s form and magic were not the only things to grow, in his isolation, Chocobon began to grow spiteful and eager for conquest against the other beings he knew were out there. He began to make simple-minded warriors to form an army. The only thing is that an ingredient needed to make the army grow was in short supply in his realm: chocolate, real pure sweet chocolate. King Chocobon was able to will into existence passages through to the Material Plane, these planar gateways have been opened near areas highly saturated with chocolate. Chocobon has since invaded several planes of the multiverse to slowly grow his army of candy minions. Nevenbee’s Confections is the current target of Chocobon’s raids, which is being relieved of its sweet treats.
